You Are Not Alone
A quarter of the British population will experience some kind of mental health problem in the course of a year, with mixed anxiety and depression the most common mental disorder in the UK. Depression affects an estimated 350 million people around the world, fewer than half of those affected receive treatment.
How The Therapy Works
Firstly, the methodology I use is no substitute for medical intervention. The areas I work with are, as follows:-
Helping you learn to reduce and/or better control feelings of anxiety, stress, and sadness – so improving your coping ability
Helping you to address negative behaviour and self-talk that could be keeping you depressed.
Installing positive self-talk and affirmations.
Helping you to establish, aims and goals, including setting small happiness goals.
The overall outcome for this framework is to be complementary and to support the work of your doctor.
The basic programme consists of three sessions that are designed to bring about a gradual change to a your mindset, to give you a set of ‘mind management tools’ that can help you focus on the present and future instead of focusing on negatives, failures and your own limiting beliefs.
